Comments: Yuengling Traditional Lager

Holy Cow. I can actually PARTICIPATE in one of your beer reviews! Someone write this down somewhere!

Anyway - you know this is my favorite beer. Period. That being said, I don't like it out of a can. Only draft or bottle. Maybe that's a mental block, but to me it seriously doesn't taste the same.

I WILL get my hands on a case of bottles some day, and I only ask you try it again. I think you'll see a difference.

I've actually read that these guys make one of the better light beers - been meaning to try it...

I didn't dislike it, a 5 on my scale isn't bad. Remember 3.5 to 6.5 is your standard beers. Hell, I like Miller Lite and it only gets a 4. I'll drink it again, I think it was just all the hype that went with it that let me down. Everyone I that told me about it was saying how great it was. I was expecting ecstasy in a can.

As beer tasting different in cans, bottles and tap... there is truth to that. As well as the color of the bottle, that's why I always list where I got it from.

Also my favorite and I don't drink it from a can - never from a can. Sorry I didn't bring you some bottles to OgFest - but the experience would have at least rated a 5.5 for ya! :)

I am going to have to go with Tammi on this one. Did you see my reaction when i saw dad brought you cans. I think this beer is strides better from a bottle.

I'm not much on the yuengling beers myself. Maybe it's because I haven't drank it out of a bottle yet. My favorite is Corona and I only drink it out of glass bottles. Doesn't taste the same out of a can or maybe it's seeing the lime floating in the bottle. Makes me think of lounging on the beach with a cabana boy waving a palm leaf over me. Okay now that I'm not daydreaming, I will call Wil and tell him to bring back some bottles for the next event.

Yuengling is much better in bottles but still wouldn't top a 5.5 or 6. It might be even better if you drink it out of a pitcher! ;)
