Comments: Week 1 down.

That Denver/Buff game was FANTASTIC - even if I did have Buff down to win (my longshot pick). Holy cow.....

But that wouldn't have anything to do with Mr. Lynch and Mr Rice playin'....honest. ;-)

Yeah. Now I can start my plan to blow past everyone in the leagues...

You got that backwards: The Bears D hammered ON LT, they weren't hammered BY him. Be honest: if someone was betting before the game that LT would be held under 30 yards rushing you'd have thought they were pissing their money away. I agree on Grossman (didn't do too bad, but didn't do too good either... same shit), what pissed me off was the craptastic ball handling by Benson and the O line letting Grossman get hammered TWICE with nobody blocking the right side.

The Green Bay/Philly game was simply a contest to see who sucked worse. Philly won. I will give props to Brett Favre for saving some seriously busted plays though.

Grau, You're right about the Bears holding LT. And to be honest I didn't think they would hold him that low. However they had to keep on him the entire game. By the Chargers continually using LT against the Bears D, it was starting not only to wear down the Bears, but it also lead to the Bears making some defensive mistakes in the secondary allowing Gates to make his plays. It also started to tire them out. IE, look at how the Defense did in the third and fourth quarters.

So yes, the Bears D did pound LT, but when you hit two hammers together sooner or later one is going to prove the weaker and start to give.

And the Packers might have sucked, but at least they have a Win right now. We'll see how long that streak lasts.
