Comments: Gas is expensive?

I would guess his comments about not expecting a spike in gas prices are probably about as accurate as his statements that we have no reason to think the country is going into a recession...

I think that asking the President (or Presidential candidates) about the price of a gallon of gas is as silly as asking him about the price of a gallon of milk.

If the candidates knew the answers off the top of their heads, I'd immediately suspect a set up - also I'd worry that they would be too much into micromanaging rather than worrying about the overall picture.

If I didn't drive, I wouldn't know gas prices. Plus the car I drive uses the expensive gas, most of the time I don't have a clue what regular unleaded costs... I don't care, I'm not using it. And I have no idea what a gallon of milk costs - haven't bought one in years. That does it - I'm soooo not presidential material. *grin*

C'mon, Contagion.
George W.'s people don't tell him anything. And I think he only watches TV or reads newspapers once a week.
It took him 3 days to learn that New Orleans was underwater after Katrina hit.

Of course bad news is surprising to him.
