Comments: Who Lives in my Head?

It was a compliment, it really've created an interesting scenario where there is no "right" or "wrong" solution. It would differ with everyone, depending on the circumstances.

I'm impressed!!!

"What a mess" is an understatement.

A wife with balls would kick the bastard out, get a good attorney to make sure her children are provided for and make her own way in the world.

Any man who would cheat for any reason does not deserve to have it all.

I find it nearly incomprehensible that a woman, or a man, could not know that their 'one and only' is actually married.
Okay, for the sake of honesty, I've been single for 20 years, with no intention of changing that fact, but sheesh! There are always signs. Do they only see what they choose to see? Yes, there are those men who difuse the suspicion with "I'm separated", but one simple rule takes care of even that.... Separated is just another word for MARRIED.

I have found that women are capable of great love and forgivness even when betrayed if contrition is sincere. Not always but many times. Each case is individual.

Each case IS different, and each and every woman [IMO] is capable of deep, profound love. But.
When I found out my first hubby had a tryst on a business trip, I finally forgave. When he did it again I kicked him out - with prejudice.

Past behavior is a really good indicator of future behavior... If I were that wife, I'd find a way to wiggle out of the situation that would include a talented attorney.

The wife *might* be capable of not resenting the child, but I wouldn't bet on it. Some of us can separate a child's innocence from a not-innocent act. Having stepchildren of my own (whose mother I CANNOT stand), I can sorta identify with this.

If I were the wife, and he merely informed me, he'd be getting papers. I don't know that I would attempt to completely impoverish him, as many women would - because I'm financially stable and don't wish to punish another child (the one he's having with the new woman). It would be enough for me to have gotten rid of him.

If I were the guy? I wouldn't just inform the wife that there'd be another kid around sometimes. I'd be a bit more repentant.
