Maybe you'll have to drink it and belch into an envelope.

Sounds like nothing a couple of big zip lock bags and lots of bubble wrap won't fix.

Actually this was addressed recently on the WinginIt 3D podcast that I listen to, as they actually get beer shipped to them all the dang time from listeners. Uhh.... incognito.
As I recall, they were saying that to ship it, each bottle should be individually wrapped and shipped in the original six-pack or whatever it came in, packed into a plan shipping box, and then the contents labeled as "hops."
If you'd like I can see if I can dig up that specific episode again...

Most places won't ship wine either anymore.

It's called compeition, other places want you to buy your alcohol where you live not other places where it's cheaper.

And, at least in my area, you do not have to tell the post office what you are shipping. Just wither it's breakable or not.

BTW I notice there are still "beer of the month" clubs out there.. I wonder how they do it?

Talking with the different delivery places I've gotten the same story. They have a special shipping permit for alcohol. If you have one of those you can then ship stuff.

From what I've found, Quality Weenie is right. It seems most of this is so that people are buying stuff locally or ensuring they are not having alcohol shipped to them from someplace where it is cheaper.

Heh - I didn't ask, I just did it. Someone in Hawaii wanted some beer that they don't sell there, for her hubby returning from deployment, so I wrapped some bottle up real well, and shipped 'em off. They were much enjoyed :-)
