Comments: Gardening Bleg

I just cut mine down yesterday. I don't know if I'm going to stick anything over them though, because they were already sort of crowding my dianthus.

Dig 'em up and send them to me. I've been begging Husband to plant bleeding hearts since we moved.

When the leaves look good and dead, cut them off close to the ground--well, they're not going to do anything useful once there's no more chlorophyll in them--and overplant with some fast-growing annual like zinnias or my fave, cosmos, indestructable, drought tolerant, repeat bloomers, and very useful for cutting. If the plant dies, I shall deny having said any of this.
