The funny thing is I bet about 50% of guys met their wife in a bar / nightclub. I did and it ain't unusual.

Protack's answer suggests he is not very familiar with typical human nature IMO.

AJ: I met my wife at a house party, and before that long-term dated numerous girls I had met at bars/clubs.

I agree w/your assessment.

I'm going to assume that when he said "driver's licenses" he meant "government IDs." Because otherwise, that would just be stupid. There are plenty of people who shouldn't have driver's licenses. (Yeah, I'm looking at you, Grandma Smith. But she doesn't have a license. Would Protack really want to inflict drivers like her on the citizens of Delaware?)

And this is what Mike has never understood -- bad-mouthing your opponents IN YOUR OWN PARTY is a recipe for never being trusted. Certain of his apologists (yeah, you, Dana G.) don't understand it, either. Guess it falls under the category you cited, Hube: Normal Human Behavior.

I had decided that Mike P. was not a viable candidate for office just from his ridiculous blog comments over the past years. Frankly, it doesn't surprise me that his idiocy has spilled out into real life.

No matter how hard I try, I just can't take the guy seriously, and I have given it a serious try!

I'm pretty well established as both a Bill Lee fan and a Mike Protack denouncer. Since Mike seems to bubble to the surface whenever Bill Lee runs, the two seem to run hand-in-hand. That's not the case.

Even if you ignore all of the strong circumstantial evidence that Mike Protack is a tremendous jackass - and there's plenty of it (Pink Postcards, IP Address-gate, Sock-puppetry, and on ad infinitum) - there are documented cases of him tearing apart the very people he wishes to represent. Mike ran horribly misleading push polls against Jan Ting in 2006, and while I doubt that was a winnable race, Protack has the gall to put blame on the Republican Party for backing the wrong horse after basically calling Ting anti-military - an accusation that continues to haunt him. There has not been a GOP convention that he hasn't denounced as being out of touch - immediately after they chose someone other than him. I'm sure his frequent criticisms of the GOP convention as representing less than one percent of the registered Republicans were mollified when less than one percent of the IPoD members endorsed him.

I've really tried to refrain from foul language when I talk about anything online. It pains me especially today, because there are so many rotten words I could use to describe my personal interactions with Protack. I'm stuck with Burris's opinion - he's a fraud.

What Protack is talking about is a national ID card, that's exactly what the Real ID card is. It will have all of your information in one easy to hack place.

Protack also wants universal healthcare, and he wants to put more surveillance cameras around the state.

So let's recap what Protack wants to do to Delaware.

- a national ID card
- universal healthcare
- more video surveillance

Seems like Protack read the book 1984 one time too many.

CREEPY? Let me put something out there... I think you should look into where Mikee got the 5k to file...It should scare the bgezus outa people.

From listening to Protack talk about his RFID enhanced ID card, it sounds like something that an officer could scan for without your even knowing it. For those of you not in retail, RFID tags are what stores use to keep you from stealing merchandise. Some clothing manufacturers even weave RFID strips into their products at the factory.

Oh, and my wife and I met at a bar.

Christianity and Partying
July 22nd, 2008 by Joe Ciccanti

Candidate for Governor Bill Lee talked about his faith on WGMDs Jared Morris Show this morning.

First he says, Im a Christian. I taught adult Sunday School for 27 years. Im a God-based person, and I support Christian political agendas

He goes on to admit that he does drink, he does enjoy Dewey Beach. He enjoys the women, enjoys dancing, and enjoys the party atmosphere. He then adds, As a Christian we are challenged to go forth in the world, not hide, and I like going forth and I have a good time. Thats been well documented, and Im not ashamed of it at all.

It is indeed creepy for a 72 year old man to frequent bars. Is he really looking for a wife? He hasn't had any luck in 27 years, what is wrong?

I have to admit as long as Lee refuses to debate the trolls of his effort will suffice for an illogical argument now and then.

Universal Healthcare which is private insurance based on choice, competition and personal responsibility. Lee gets his care from a Single Payer system called Medicare.

I don't want cameras all over the state. I do support as does Colonel Mitchell a sopshisticated system to reduce gun violence called Shot Spotter. It will save lives.

I do not support a National ID card. We must comply with Federal Law, we are one of three states who have not done so. The cost comes from this Federal requirement, plain and simple. The proposal is for all legal residents to have Identification. Lee was the guy who wants Driver Licenses for illegals, not me.

RickJ is the fraud who distorts positions because his guy is incapable of debating the issues.

Thanks, have a safe day. Lee's campaign is over and done.

No, Mike -- it is YOU who are creepy for reveling in this non-issue. Not only that, this bit shows just how out of touch YOU are, socially and culturally. Why do you care if Lee is looking for a wife or not? What are insinuating by your "what is wrong" statement?

Y'see, this is why you're a stone cold jerk. Instead of JUST taking advantage of Lee's mistake on the illegal immigration bit, you delve into this stuff like you're some sort of paragon of morality. But as anyone who had read the blogs knows -- and/or apparently has dealt w/you personally knows -- nothing could be further from reality.

BTW, Mike (or whatever name you're using on the blogs today), do you agree with what the WNJ wrote -- that authorities can verify IDs of anyone they encounter??
