Comments: Ronald W. Reagan, 1911-2004

I don't cry very often. But when I called my son from work today at 3 p.m. to ask him to put out the flag on the porch, I had great difficulty speaking clearly. President Reagan honestly loved this nation and those people who loved her also. He understood how easily the Communist nations could destroy us if we opened our door to them. We may argue over tax rates, or affirmative action, or offshore drilling, or the federal role in public education, but Ronald Reagan was largely responsible for keeping us alive to where we could even have such arguments.

God bless Ronald Reagan, his family, and their loved ones!

Well said, Tim. I haven't been able to come up with as meaningful a tribute as you have just done.
