Comments: I'm going back on the tube again (Well, not really)

Roy who?

CORE head Roy Innis.

He's a fairly well-known black conservative who has certainly been critical of the NAACP in the past. It sounds like it'll be an interesting conversation.

The producer (who remembered me from my last Scarborough appearance) did tell me that he would keep me in mind for future segments.

One might say he is a libertarian.

Bummer. The good news is they've got your number...

In a way, this is a good thing. I haven't gotten my Ramblings mug from Cafepress yet, so I wasn't going to be able to enjoy a colortini out of it while watching you romp on Bond and Mfume.

Yeah, I ordered it standard shipping. I'm lazy that way.

Roy is great but kind of passing the torch to his son Niger these days. You'll have to come up to NYC for their MLK party sometime. They're always really fun, starstudded events.

Just happened to be listening to a rebroadcast of Sean Hennedy's radio show....and one of the portions of the show was to be about the NAACP. He had on Leo Turrel lawyer, and Charles Barron (NY City councilman. The first gentleman was a lawyer from the west coast who had been a member/supporter of the NAACP but when they went on the attack against the judge from San Fransisco who Bush had pushed for nomination (as a federal judge), he was fed up.
Charles was exceedingly rude from the get go. But Leo tore em a new one. Realizing Leo, was not going to cave to his retoric, Charles did the high road...many liberals take....he hung up.

Now, understand, Leo Turner is no great fan of Hennedy but he admits on radio, that they see eye to eye on where the NAACP is at and it is all about.

If it makes you feel better, you are still the Number One Black Conservative to appear on my blog.

Keep up the good work. Hope to see you back on the tube again soon.
