Comments: On the rare occasion when I'm wrong, I DO own up to it...

From the Far North of Scotland comes a cry of 'Well done thou good and faithful scribe' (or something similar....

Can I just reiterate that the BBC/Guardian/ Independent and so on are NOT the purveyors of the views of the majority of Britons North or South of Hadrian's Wall. The vast majority DO appreciate what you guys have gone through (we have had years of IRA terrorism to fight) and have common relatives and hopes despite the wee puddle between us.

So if you read anything on the BBC website for example apply the following test - Is it against the commonsense view? Yes? Likely to get Democrats excited? Yes? Then IGNORE it - it is rubbish.

I don't think many people over here (in the civilised bit) take notice of the BBC anymore except for you chaps and chappesses (in the colonies...).

Now, anyone willing to give me $50 on Tony Blair moving to the US if you change the rules so he can take on Arnold in 2008? But whatever you do, DON'T LET MRS BLAIR IN - you'll regret it, you will!

I still stand by choice of Georgia vis-a-vis hell.

That's the trouble with this campaign. Just about the time that you get ready to exaggerate the whacko positions and activities of the Left, one of them steps up and actually says or does what you figured was too far out for the imagination...

Good on you for both figuring it out and for having the courage to say so!
