Comments: A brief moment of brilliance

Hey, are you about ready to (t)roll on that left/right interview we're going to do?

I have started three times seemed to have lost my humor.

Is it just me or is it hard for anyone to really get xcited about the whole fillibuster compromise. To me it is not something that should be a rarity but something that congress should do daily work together, compromise. I think this one is a win win. It stopped extremist on both sides from dropping their pants and mooning the fuck out of us. I have seen enough ass without looking at Frist or Reid's.

Reid is hardly an extremist. In fact, this compromise is essentially what he suggested weeks ago, but Frist wouldn't accept.

I'm mostly for giving Bush the people he wants--especially for the appellate court. But I wish the Republicans would be honest about how they used the filibuster to stop more Clinton nominees and to prevent DC statehood. But it just isn't in their nature. Frist lies when the truth would suit him better.

I don't like KKK/South will rise again/anti-choice judges, but if Americans didn't want that they shouldn't have let Bush steal the election by preventing a fair vote in Ohio and Florida.

I'm with Ralph in that I think the compromise is what should be happening regularly. The reason its interesting, is that it hasn't been happening and finally did.
I think there is an issue with Bolton. I don't care who suggested him, there are people who are better at the dipomacy end than his is. And they can go in and be tough, with out being abrasive.

He didn't get the 60 votes he needed even with several Dems coming in for him. There is a reason for that. He didn't get a recommendation from the committee for a reason.

Frankly, I think both of these items point out the centrists standing up.
