Comments: Denzel supports the troops in his own way

This is old news but good news! This is the
main "burn center" for the military. Burns are
very bad in combat. There are medics trained
there at every deployment base. These are instructors teaching other medics to handle burns. I met a guy in Walmart with no uniform
on but Brook 10K run T-shirt and recognized
what he was. Medics and medical facilities
have done much to help soldiers. Look at size
of Fort Hood which is north of Austin off I35. Our medical people have helped a lot of Iraqi citizens without any credit.

If you read the snopes link above, you'll find that the only aspect of the story that is false is that Denzel wrote a check for the exact amount. He visited, took part in a purple heart ceremony, and made a large donation to the Fisher house foundation. Still good news.
