Comments: Huh?

Well, no. Arafat's death was a necessary condition for elections, but not a sufficient one.

Not that the elections were particularly meaningful, unlike those Iraq or Lebanon. I wouldn't want to take any credit for the Palestinian elections myself.

Well, oddly enough, I was actually waiting to hear what his "strategy" was. McClellen set us up for that. Why do I get my hopes up like that? I did listen to the whole speech. It was in the afternoon here and NPR broadcast the whole thing. Did like the fact that he didn't do the Cheney "happy talk" and he did talk about the situation in Iraq as serious.
What I wanted to hear, were the goals - what he wants to accomplish. I wasn't expecting to hear some time table for leaving, since I agree that would be dumb.
I dunno, I was just disappointed.

The problem is he thinks he is god or at least on a first name basis with the all mighty.
